Planning a road trip after wedding, here’s how to make it perfect

January 31, 2020 by Laura

Planning a honeymoon in the picturesque locales of Alps or closer home in Kashmir? Hang on a second! How about a road trip somewhere right here in India just after your wedding? Looks awesome right? Then without turning your heads anywhere look at the tips to make your road trip perfect.

Tips to make your road trip perfect

There are many options that can come to your mind while planning your road trip like the iconic Mumbai-Goa Highway meandering through the Western Ghats or the Visakhapatnam-Araku Valley through the Eastern Ghats. How about trying out honeymoon on wheels to the Chattarpur farms in Delhi for a change? But you and your better half need proper planning to make it memorable. Here are the ways:

Set your budget right

Setting a budget for anything is crucial. Although it may seem cheap to you, the roadside accommodations, petrol costs and tit-bits can empty your funds quickly. So, a proper budget setting is important and also the distance you can cover in that estimated cost.

Get rid of maintenance costs

Before venturing out check your vehicle first for its petrol level, tyre pressure, wiper blades and most importantly brakes and car AC. You never know when will you get the next petrol pump and what type of weather awaits you on the road. Repair your car at the nearest repairing shop before going out as unnecessary maintenance costs can be avoided on the road.

Don’t forget to carry emergency food

Now it may feel like carrying food is extra luggage. Although partly it may be correct but stocking up on some cookies, chocolate and chips can come in handy anytime. Try to stock up more of them at the subsequent stops. Make sure you never run out of water or any food that can get spoilt on the road.

Entertainment mustn’t stop

Prepare a playlist based on the time you two will be inside the car whether it is a few hours or even a day. Stock up on some romantic songs across genres from Bollywood as well as Hollywood for the upliftment of your mood thereby keeping you entertained throughout.

Check out travel apps

Check some travel apps that not only provides listing your tasks but also suggestions and tips regarding the details of the destination. You may have a quick look at them and go right away. Make sure the app(s) are trustworthy and rated highly.

Maybe take travel insurance!

Although it may sound awkward, still, you may opt for travel insurance as safety comes first over everything else. Consult a travel agent at the earliest for the places and routes that you are going to travel on as he will be the best person to say whether you need insurance or not.

A road trip between you and your other half can increase the love quotient by several notches and also make it a trip to remember for both of you. This honeymoon-on-wheels or road trip after the wedding can be a totally new concept and definitely romantic. So, without wasting any further time, plan and get, set, go!

How Charter Buses Can Make Transportation Efficient for All Industries

October 28, 2019 by Laura

Any organization which survey’s its employees about what their frustrations are with work, will often find that frustrations come down to lack of time with family, lack of sleep, and long hours working. When you consider the root cause of these issues often it is down to commuting times. The average American commutes over two hours everyday to work and back. Thankfully there is a solution. Find out how Charter Buses can make transportation efficient for all Industries.

How Charter Buses Can Make Transportation Efficient for All Industries

Some employees are taking public transport buses and trains to work every day, they lose time as they wait for the public transport, as it stops at every location on the journey and when they have to change to another form of transport. Other employees to avoid the dismal public transport commute travel in their own vehicle, focusing their mind on traffic, delays, and other frustrated drivers.

Imagine you could take this awful commute away from a large number of your employees. You could send a transport to pick them up, and bring them directly to work, while they spend their commute building friendships with colleagues, reading, learning a new language or listening to their favorite music. Commute times would be halved, and your employees would turn up to work in a much better mood ready to be productive. Schools worked this out decades ago! Send a chartered bus to pick everyone up. This is a viable solution for organizations in all industries, providing benefits for employees and the company.

Chartered buses can also be used throughout the working day to transport teams to and from sites and deliver shifts of employees back and forth from their neighborhoods.

So you’re imaging a school bus puffing out black diesel smoke sputtering along? Some charter buses are luxurious executive level vans and coaches with heated leather seats, individual TV screens, on-board toilet facilities, coolers with drinks and snacks, and air conditioning. Imagine how your employees will feel if they can replace their expensive second car with a journey in a comfortable chauffeur-driven vehicle that allows them to relax or even sleep on their journey to and from work!

Charter Buses Help Businesses Reduce Carbon Footprint

Aside from asking all employees to walk or cycle to work, there is nothing more effective than reducing thirty journey that were previously carried out through via twenty private vehicles and several public transport routes down to just one journey in one vehicle. If your business is serious about reducing its actual carbon footprint this is one of the most effective ways to do so.

So now is the time to consider if you can improve employee satisfaction, increase productivity, and have an impact on your carbon footprint by using charter buses to commute your employees to and from work, and move groups of employees between work sites during the day. Such a transportation revolution could help your business be much more efficient.

5 Things You Should Never Do On Vacation in Mexico

October 27, 2019 by Laura

There’s a reason why millions of tourists flock to Mexico every year. Whether it’s your first time visiting the magical country, or whether you’re a seasoned veteran, it’s crucial that you avoid making these mistakes.

Get Too Drunk

A lot of people associate Mexico with drinking and alcohol. While it’s true that it’s a great place to kick back and have a few drinks on the beach, there’s a difference between having fun and making yourself vulnerable to getting hurt.

It’s not uncommon for tourists to overdo the alcohol in Mexico. All it takes is a few drinks to result in a head-on collision or drown in a body of water.

By pacing your alcohol intake and being careful about who you’re drinking with, you can avoid alcohol-related injuries and tragedies.

Carry Your Passport

Whenever you’re traveling to a different country, you should never carry your passport around with you. Carrying it with you could result in it getting stolen or lost. Losing your passport outside of your native country can throw your entire trip for a loop.

Not only do you risk missing your flights home, but you’ll have to make a costly trip to the nearest embassy for an emergency passport. The last thing you want is to spend a day of your trip waiting around in lines a government office.

Carry Large Amounts of Cash

While it’s not a good idea to flaunt your money around anywhere in the world, it’s especially important to avoid doing so in Mexico. You risk getting robbed or losing your money.

You’re better off using credit cards which can easily be replaced if lost or stolen. A bit of cash is ok; however, more than a few hundred is probably asking for trouble.

Drink The Tap Water

Mexico doesn’t have the same water filtering system as other first world countries. In Mexico, you shouldn’t drink water that doesn’t come out of a bottle. This includes ice cubes.

Always make sure that you see the waiter pour the water from the bottle directly into the glass. Taking chances could result in vomiting and diarrhea for a good portion of your trip.

Argue With Locals

It’s never a good idea to get into an argument with locals or insult their culture. There’s no telling what kind of trouble you could get into if you fall into the wrong crowd.

Although Mexico is considered relatively safe in most places, it can still be full of dangers. It’s vital that you keep your wits about you and avoid doing things that could get you into trouble. By following these tips, you should increase your chances of having a fantastic trip.

How to See the World Without Flying

October 24, 2019 by Laura

In the era of budget airlines and dirt-cheap package tours, getting out and seeing the world has never been easier. However, a growing number of serious travelers are eschewing air travel altogether in order to go the long way around. Part of this is driven by environmental concerns, given that jets are a major polluter, but that’s not the whole story.

Some people are discovering a renewed affinity for the journey, rather than just the destination. Rather than shuttling between different identikit airports and spending half your trip breathing the same recycled air as everyone else on a gas-guzzling jumbo jet, follow these tips if you want to see the world without flying.

1. Stay at Home

This one may seem like a surprising place to start, but there’s no escaping the fact that the cheapest and most environmentally friendly way to see the world is to do so without ever leaving your house. Services like Google Maps can let you see every corner of the world, travel series such as Planet Earth take you to the most remote places there are, and games let you explore the world for yourself.

If you want to see the world via a video game, you can play open-world ones such as Assassin’s Creed or Grand Theft Auto, or you can try online games. For example, the live casino games at Magical Vegas allow you to play poker, roulette, and baccarat in real Las Vegas-style with a real dealer, just like you would in a real Sin City casino. Livestreaming technology means that you can experience the world from the comfort of your living room.

2. Transnational Rail

Now for those who are determined to actually get out there. One of your best options for a journey in which you actually see the world instead of flying over it is rail. It may take some effort to organize but with routes such as the Caledonian Sleeper which takes you from the Scottish Highlands to London, or the Trans-Siberian Express which takes you from Moscow to Vladivostock, you’re always guaranteed a truly magical experience. This is also by far and away the most efficient form of transportation.

3. Cargo Ship Voyage

But to take the Transiberian railway, you’ve first got to get to Russia. How to do that? Well, for something truly unique, you could live out a stowaway fantasy by booking yourself a space on a real-life freight vessel. Although they can be a little tricky to find, online platforms like Cargo Ship Voyages exist to match adventurous seafarers up with the cargo route they want. For the price of your ticket, you get to live like a crew member, sleeping in dorms and eating onboard the ship canteen. It’s several times more environmentally friendly than a cruise ship, whilst also being one of the most unique, rugged, and unforgettable forms of travel you can embark on. It doesn’t get more adventurous than this.

In 2019, these are the best ways to see the world if you’re wanting to avoid traveling by plane. Each of them has its merits, so give all three a try at some point in your life.

3 Tips For Maintaining A Healthy Diet While Traveling

October 7, 2019 by Laura

Although many people view traveling as an excuse to indulge in things that they ordinarily wouldn’t, making this a habit with your diet can actually result in some consequences that you’d likely rather avoid.

Not only can eating too much or eating unhealthy foods cause you to feel bloated, tired, sick, and more, but depending on how or where you’re traveling, it could also be dangerous. So to help ensure that you’re able to enjoy every minute of your travels without coming home having gained ten pounds, here are three tips for maintaining a healthy diet while traveling.

Start Your Day With Protein

We’ve all heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and this fact remains true while you’re traveling, too. Particularly on travel days or days when you’ll be needing a lot of energy, Francesca Street, a contributor to CNN.com, recommends that you try to start your day off with some protein.

By choosing protein for breakfast, you’ll have the energy you need to make it to your next meal without getting hungry or getting tired mid-morning. Especially if you’re doing something that you need to stay alert for, like driving without getting in an accident with a truck, eating protein first thing can be a real help.

Eat A Veggie With Every Meal

When most people travel, it’s much easier to just eat out for every meal than to cook something on their own. In many cases, you might not even have access to make your own meals while you’re away from home. But despite this fact, you should still make sure that you’re getting what your body needs out of the meals you’re consuming.

To help you with this, Audrey Bruno, a contributor to Self.com, advises that you make sure you eat a veggie with every meal while you’re traveling. Whether this means adding onions and peppers to your morning omelet, lettuce and tomato on your sandwich for lunch, and a side salad with dinner, ensuring that you’re always getting veggies in somewhere will help fill you up with healthy foods and give you the vitamins and minerals you need to stay healthy.

Don’t Eat Three Full Meals Each Day

While eating in restaurants can be exciting, especially if you’re able to try new foods, you should try to be careful about how much you’re actually eating when you sit down for a meal.

According to Kenya McCullum, a contributor to Learn How To Become, most restaurants give larger portions than any person needs to be eating at each meal. And if you clean your plate having three meals a day in a restaurant, you could be eating far more than your body needs or is used to. So rather than eating three full, restaurant meals each day, try to opt for either a lighter lunch or a lighter dinner.

If you’re wanting to eat healthier on your next trip, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you stay safe and healthy along the way.

Don’t be Too Complacent about Your Truck Driving Skills

September 23, 2019 by Laura

Even if you have been driving a truck for a long time, it doesn’t mean you can be complacent. You need to deploy a level of caution as if it’s your first time driving. When you become overconfident when driving, you might miss a lot of details, which could lead to an accident.

Safety checks

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been driving. You need to conduct a safety check before you drive. You need to have a checklist to help you determine the areas to consider. From the engine to the brakes, everything needs a proper check. You also have to bring the necessary tools with you in case something happens along the way.

Texting while driving

You don’t need to get a reminder that texting while driving is a terrible idea. Even if you can expertly maneuver the truck, you can’t be too confident. Texting will take your focus off of the road and prevent you from doing your job well. Therefore, you need to stop texting until you arrive at the destination. If there’s an important message you need to respond to, you can pull over. If you have to call someone, there are hands-free devices you can use.

Driving under the influence

It doesn’t matter how high your tolerance level is for alcohol. You shouldn’t drive when you already had a lot to drink. You might even say that you tried driving a car before even when intoxicated and nothing happened. If you were lucky that time, you can’t expect the same results this time. Driving a truck is way more difficult. If you already had a lot to drink, it’s going to be worse.

Speeding

You also think that you can drive as fast as you can since you can control everything without any problems. Even if you’ve been driving for years, you have to drive slowly. Use the appropriate lane for trucks. When you’re on a busy road, you have to consider other vehicles. You might hit them while driving. Your employer trusts you to deliver on time given your expertise in driving a truck. It doesn’t mean that you have to drive quickly.

Determine what to do when there’s a problem

You might be an experienced truck driver, but problems can still happen while you drive. It’s possible for your truck to suddenly stop in the middle of the night and there’s no one to help you. The good thing is you can call a tow truck service provider. With the help you receive, you can get out of the situation right away. It doesn’t matter what time the incident happens. When you need the service, you will get it. You can check out Fort Lauderdale Towing Service if you have a problem in the area.

It’s a good thing that you’re an expert in truck driving. You also got a certification because of your skills. You can never be too confident though since it could lead to serious problems.
